ER24 Emergency Medical Services
ER24 is a private emergency medical company that provides public and private emergency medical services across South Africa. The company is aimed at providing pre-hospital emergency care, including medical emergency care transportation by road and air across Southern African nations such as Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Liberia. ER24 has branches with ambulances and other emergency resources placed in all the major metropolitan areas, cities and towns across the nations.〔 The emergency medical company is regularly featured in national and international publications including CNN, The Wall Street Journal,〔 and The Times (South Africa).
==History==
ER24 was officially established in August 2000 and registered in South Africa as a subsidiary of Mediclinic International which owned a 50% interest in the company during the period. As at then, it was referred to as ''Emergency Room Company 24''.
